Training takes place in varied areas and diving tanks. Students are trained in the use of scuba (self-contained underwater breathing apparatus) and surface supply equipment, which includes the use of 5 different diving helmets and masks.
As diving is solely a means of getting to a work place, divers are also trained in underwater cutting, welding and the use of numerous other tools. Students also have to pass written exams in first aid, diving theory, diving practical and law. There is, however, no guarantee that a student will pass as we pride ourselves on maintaining high standards.
As the life of a diver is a very physical one the school places a great deal of emphasis on physical fitness and the day always starts with running and swimming.
